Xolo has just launched a 4G LTE connectivity capable android smartphone in India. Termed as Xolo LT2000, the smartphone has been launched with the price tag of Rs 9999. This move to launch a 4G enabled smartphone in sub 10k category is seen as an aggressive strategy to cover 4G market much before its competitors. The phone will be directly competing with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Redmi 2 which have got some true potentials. In fact, Xiaomi Redmi 2 has got same processor i.e., Snapdragon 410 as that of Xolo LT2000.
With 5.5 inch display size, the phone falls under phablet category. The screen has got HD resolution and Dragontail scratch resistant glass. It runs on 1.2 Ghz quad-core chipset, 1GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The storage can further be expanded up to 32 GB with micro SD card.
As far as android version is concerned, the phone runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and it is expected to be upgraded to Android Lollipop sometime in near future. While, I’m not pretty sure of when exactly it would happen, I’m willing to put some trust here for quick update. At the back of the device lies an 8 megapixel camera along with BSI sensor. This camera is capable of recording videos at 1080p. The camera software has been enhanced to include face recognition, scene detection & tuning and low light enhancements. It is also capable of horizontal as well as vertical panorama captures. On the front, there is 2 megapixel camera which would be very handy in taking selfies.
The phone is bundled with 2920 mAh battery which is expected to give backup for one complete day with moderate usage. The standby time for the same is around 760 hours whereas talk time stands at around 29-30 hours. Keep in mind that this phone is coupled with dual SIM connectivity meaning that one SIM is 4G LTE enabled whereas another slot is 3G enabled. The device is now available via Snapdeal for the price tag of Rs 9999.
