Samsung has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its last year flagship device Samsung Galaxy S5 running on Exynos processor. The update itself has come out very late as the Snapdragon variant users have already been enjoying this update for over a month now. Nevertheless, better late than never.
As per reports, the Android Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5 is currently available in Kazakhstan and it is expected to reach out in other markets including India in coming weeks. Not to mention, it is being rolled out over the air and it will also be available through Samsung Kies software.
As far as changelog is concerned, I’m getting inputs that the update is very much in line with what is being offered in Snapdragon variant. This new update brings revamped user interface, material design along with its buttery smooth animations, enhanced notifications, updated Samsung apps (with materialistic design), improved fingerprint recognition, lock screen notifications and much more.

As mentioned earlier, Galaxy S5 users can update their smartphone using any of the two methods. In order to update your phone via Kies, connect it to the computer, and follow on-screen instructions provided through Kies app. If you don’t like this method, wait for an update notification and once that is available, simply click on it to proceed. You can manually check if the update is available or not by going into settings > system > about device > software update.
