Moto G 2nd Gen (2014) receiving first OTA update in India

Motorola has pushed first software update for Moto G (2014) users in India and you’ll be soon receiving an update notification automatically (if not yet). Since Android L hasn’t been released yet so don’t expect it to be that rather it’s just a minor update of size 120MB which fixes certain bugs in the system and one visual change.

The visual change includes, Google Now is the sole launcher of the device you’re holding right now and itself it’s a minor one only. So no major changes arrived.

So this is the first update for Moto G (2nd Generation) among India and users should get this update within a week automatically through the OTA. Or if your sure that your device is foody for the update then it can be done manually by checking for update from ‘Settings > About Phone > Software update’.

In spite of being a minor update it brings a major feature too i.e. it improves the battery life by next 1-2 hours. For people like me, this particular improvement is a major update as I wish my phone to stay as longer as possible.

If you’re still looking for the best smartphone within 13k INR in India that offers great user experience and also good in looks then nothing better than Moto G (2014) available in current scenario. You can book yours via Flipkart.

About Moto G (2014)

Moto G houses Qualcomm quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It is also available in 16GB storage option while the microSD card slot is also there to support maximum 32GB of card.

Motorola included bigger 5 inch display with HD resolution into the new device but its overall size is still compact thus making it comfortable to be used single handily. The display is sharp and got good viewing angles support to offer great visibility.

It runs on uninterrupted Android KitKat experience. You’re going to have stock Android experience and that too of latest version. There are certain Moto developed apps but they don’t bother the native experience.

The all new 8MP camera is on the back and front got 2MP one with both can record HD videos and capture HD pictures. The camera software is fast and picture quality is good enough to share them on the social networks.

Loudspeaker is loud and the same dimple logo on the back is alive. So you’re getting an improved user experience wrapped in faster and better shell.

In case if you’re facing any issues after the update then let me know via the comment. You can also drop your experience after the update.

I was on 3g so declined to install the update
I declined it like 4 to 5 times and finally I accepted it…
But now my moto system version is still 21.11.14. Titan*****
Please tell me to fix this…

    • It seems that your device hasn’t been updated. Go into the settings > about phone > software update and click on check now to see if the update is still available for your phone. If not, I would recommend you to visit Motorola service center. They will sort it out for sure.
