Xolo has launched a new smartphone in Indian market for Rs 13,499. The device features fingerprint sensor and Infrared blaster because of which you can use the device as a remote controller to control things on your TV and other home electronic gadgets. The device was in story since few days and today it has been announced officially. The pricing of this device is also very neat, looking at specs and features it’s offering. Unlike, iPhone with fingerprint sensors, Xolo Q2100 is having its fingerprint sensor on the rear side beneath the camera and flash section, which clearly is an odd place. I had already been researching about fingerprint sensor units in smartphones and I came to know that the success rate is good when the sensors are placed beneath/at the home button. However, it would be interested to see how this new position of placing a sensor would work out.
Xolo has also installed a custom app to let users access this sensor and it is expected that the fingerprint sensor will get better and better with each use.
