After lot of rumors and unbearable waiting, Xiaomi has launched Mi4 in Indian market for the price tag of Rs 19999. The device will go on sale starting February 10th, 2015 via Flipkart which is expected to follow flash sales model.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the device features 5 inch display along with an IPS panel display and 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The pixel per density stands at 441 which is quite decent for this screen size and resolution. The phone has also got Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
One of the problem that many XIaomi users were facing in earlier phones was regarding RAM being low and it seems that the company has solved it by putting huge RAM of 3GB in Mi4. The phone is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.
On the camera front, company has put up 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and support to record 4K videos. The front facing camera is no less than just a selfie-centric as company has added 8 megapixel lens in front. The phone runs on Android 4.4.3 Kitkat and MIUI 6 which was announced last year. MIUI 6 is focused on bringing more customization and added features in colors, security and content aspect. The icons especially have got motion graphics which would certainly be very attractive. The notification section has also been revamped with important and unimportant sections.
As far as connectivity goes, the phone has got 4G LTE, 3G and WiFi capability. In addition to these connectivity options, the phone provides WiFi Direct, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone weights just around 149 grams.
The phone will be available in two variants; one with 16 GB internal memory and another one with 64 GB of internal memory. The base model of 16 gB would be available for Rs 19999 and around 25000 to 30000 phones will go on sale on February 10th, 2015.
