Just when Moto G and other android smartphones were starting to grab the mid range segment, Samsung USA has revealed which android phones are getting Android 4.4 Kitkat update sooner or later. There’re number of devices ranging from those Galaxy S3 to Galaxy Mega which are expected to get the Kitkat update however, there has been no mention of the Galaxy Grand series smartphones.
According to the current data that we have received so far, Samsung is pushing Android 4.4 Kitkat update for following set of Android devices.

Samsung, in the press release stated that
The upgrade (KitKat) provides a number of innovative, easy-to-use features that enhance the user experience, including a more intuitive user interface, enhanced messaging capabilities and updated applications
While nobody is quite sure about what the update might include, some have speculated that the update will add enhanced location settings, an option to choose between default messaging app and hangouts. The company has also mentioned that the update is being rolled out from today and you can expect it in any moment now.
What about the Android Kitkat update for other Galaxy devices?
According to my speculations and understanding, company could be testing out if any of their older phones could be updated to Android 4.4 Kitkat. This list may includes the names like Galaxy Grand, Quattro and Galaxy Core. Any other older generation device apart from these three may not get any further android updates from the company.
