Samsung Galaxy Core Prime spotted on Flipkart

Once Samsung used to have most of the market share among smartphones in affordable price range but now the pie chart is divided among many manufacturers. To increase the overall share again in Indian market, Samsung is getting ready with its next smartphone which has already arrived on Flipkart for just Rs 8,499. This new Galaxy smartphone was seen on Flipkart as per its listing on the Indian e-retailer and it has been dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Core Prime. Galaxy Core is an old series smartphone and this smartphone would definitely take that series to another level. After seeing this device, I can conclude that Samsung is in no need to ditch its on-going design format for its smartphones. This might hurt the sales graph for sure because of other competing smartphones in the price range.

Samsung was offering high-end devices with cheap build quality so expect this phone with even cheaper price than what we are expecting.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Details

If you love Samsung phones then go along the article to know about the full specs and other details about this phone. The design of the device is quite similar to the other smartphone from the same price range.

The device features quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and it is further supported by 1GB of RAM. The storage part consists of 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card. The device has got 4.5 inch of display which is added on WVGA PLS panel. This might just bring poor viewing angles and decent screen quality.

The software part is the only thing impressed me as it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat but again there is TouchWiz to keep you away from stock Android experience. The camera part features 5MP lens on the rear and 2MP on front. The rear camera also holds on to a LED flash to support low light imaging.

There are two capacitive buttons in front just beside the main home button. The speaker grill can be found at at the back just beside the camera.

In short, this is an entry level smartphone from Samsung for Indian customers who are already enjoying the devices from Motorola, Xiaomi and Asus priced in this range. Overall, it looks like a decent attempt from Samsung and I’m expecting price to come down.
