Within 4 weeks of Google releasing Android 4.4.4 update for Nexus series devices, Motorola has pressed the button by releasing the same update for Moto G, E and X in India. The Android 4.4.4 update for Moto G, E and X is targeted at patching up the heart-bleed bug which was exploited couple of months back. Motorola has been following the suite of releasing faster android updates for its devices and that certainly is key point for boosting its market in countries like India. The almost stock user interface has been the key point in releasing the quick updates as other manufacturer’s need to work on a lot of things right from their launcher to the graphical elements.

Since the updates are being rolled out in phases, it might take couple of more days for it to receive at your end and therefore don’t feel disheartened if you haven’t got the notification yet. As soon as the update is available for your device, you will receive a notification on your phone. All that you will need to do is download and follow the on-screen instructions. Though you can manually go into the settings > about and software update to check if the update has arrived or not, I would recommend you to wait for the notification.

With the statement coming directly from the Motorola twitter handle, it is quite clear that the company will be skipping the number Android 4.4.3 while adding the goodies from the update. According to my predictions, the size of this update would be somewhere between 60 to 100 MB.
This Android 4.4.4 update for Moto G, E and X is expected to bring stability, framework and Open SSL patches (the same heart-bleed thing that I mentioned earlier). The update will also change the dialer app. If the update has already reached your handsets, let us know in the comments section. We can have a good changelog over here. Right?
