HTC has announced Desire Eye a couple of days which was rumored since months and it’s may not stay at among high-end price section rather it will be priced somewhere around middle-end. In past HTC has manufactured some gorgeous smartphones and Desire Eye is going to be one of them. It will be priced among middle-end smartphones but features high-end specs sheet which is identical to HTC One series devices. While everyone was expecting it to be part of One series, HTC made it in Desire which holds on to affordable section. There is a reason why it’s named ‘Eye’ and the reason is visible on front of the device itself. There is a giant 13MP camera on front fixed straightly at the middle and its starring you all the day. In fact, it’s going to star at you through its pictures as well and you just can’t stop it.
HTC is going with the selfie trend. Their flagship device holds on to 5MP shooter on front and now they are leaving all other smartphones available in the market way behind in the race with their all new Desire Eye. On paper, it’s the most powerful smartphone in terms of front-end camera and no doubt, it will gather all selfie loving crowd, which is insane.

If you’re aware of HTC One (M8) specs sheet then you must be confused why HTC listed Eye into Desire family. HTC is willing to compete other brands by offering better specs at affordable price, this may be the answer.
The design part is really awesome and HTC further made it top class by choosing unique color combinations. It will be available in two color options, red and white and blue and cyan. Both color options are not only unique but also attractive and funky too.
The back is non-removable and microSD and nano-SIM card slots are on left side while right side holds on to volume rocker, power button and camera shutter key. It measures just 8.5 mm in thickness and weighs 154 grams.
Since it’s not a part of One series so there is no Duo Camera features which One (M8) got but HTC pre-installed additional features like capturing with both cameras at a single time, tracking up to four faces in a room while video recording and voice operated shutter which can help you take selfies or record video without paining shutter key. Pricing information is yet to flip out officially.
In the second half of 2014, this is the second best smartphone we are getting from one of our favorite manufacturers while first stand still holds on with iPhone 6 (or may be 6 Plus). Let’s see how exact Desire Eye comes out when we find chance to do hands-on review.
